Our client is a key player in the heavy industry sector, with multiple sites across France. For one of its sites in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, we have been exclusively and expressly mandated to recruit their future Maintenance Manager (M/F).

This position is immediately available and needs to be filled quickly as part of a reorganization and optimization strategy.

The site employs approximately 70 people, and the role involves bringing a fresh perspective to a growing sector. As part of the company’s strategic development plan, the selected candidate will implement and refine preventive maintenance procedures.

Beyond operational challenges, you will play a key role in continuously improving product quality.

About the Position

📌 Title: Maintenance Manager (M/F)
📌 Reports to: Site Director
📌 Location: Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France
📌 Employment Type: Permanent contract (CDI), full-time
📌 Salary Package: €50k-€60k gross annual + social benefits
📌 Work Mode: On-site presence required
📌 Mobility: Occasional travel to other sites within the Group

Your Responsibilities:

#1 Team Management

  • Direct management of a team of 5 people
  • Supervise a remote workshop located at another site of the Group
  • Coordinate all maintenance operations and scheduling with your assistant

#2 Oversee All Maintenance Activities

  • Supervise maintenance operations in an environment with a strong focus on electrical and light automation systems, ensuring compliance with operational excellence standards
  • Manage machine downtimes, site interventions, and equipment optimization
  • Oversee an annual maintenance budget of over €500k
  • Implement and monitor Lean Manufacturing methods, training operational teams accordingly
  • Ensure strict adherence to deadlines to minimize equipment unavailability

Your Skills & Profile

🎓 Education:

  • Engineering degree, preferably in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering

📌 Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience, including at least 10 years as a Maintenance Manager
  • Strong expertise in heavy industrial processes such as metallurgy, cement plants, foundries, construction, molding, or concrete production
  • Proven ability to manage teams in multi-disciplinary environments
  • Experience in Lean methods and industrial project management

  • Strong social relations experience, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
