Our client, a major player in the heavy industry sector, operates several strategic sites across France. In this context, we have been exclusively commissioned to recruit the future Plant Manager (M/F) for one of its sites, located in Brittany.

This position, available immediately, needs to be filled promptly as part of a planned renewal of the management team.

This site employs around 30 people and offers significant growth prospects. The role involves bringing an innovative vision to support the site’s development in a rapidly growing sector. As part of its strategic plan, the selected candidate will be responsible for implementing organizational procedures and monitoring tools to support an ambitious strategy for growth and the optimization of production processes.

Beyond the operational and commercial challenges, you will play a key role in the continuous improvement of social dialogue.

About the Position

Plant Manager (M/F)
Reports directly to the Industrial Director
Member of the Operational Management Committee

Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Developing Site Operations in Relation to Social Partners

    • Implement rigorous operational procedures and an optimized safety framework for future investments.
    • Enhance and improve the social climate, including strengthened dialogue with internal stakeholders. Initiate discussions and open up dialogue with key contacts.
  2. Aligning Site Operations with Group Guidelines

    • Ensure the deployment and strict monitoring of the Group’s strategic decisions regarding safety, maintenance, and lean manufacturing.
    • Identify and correct deviations between local practices and Group directives. Apply adjustments and contribute proactive suggestions.
  3. Optimizing Operational Performance

    • Design and implement a dashboard with relevant KPIs to monitor the site’s performance in production, material usage, and margin errors.
    • Establish a culture of continuous improvement based on Lean Manufacturing principles at all levels of the site.
  4. Driving Organizational Transformation

    • Adapt the organization and resources of the site in line with market developments and performance objectives.
    • Enhance internal skills and coordinate the integration of new personnel during expansion phases.

🏢 Position: Full-time Permanent Contract (CDI), based in the Brittany region
✈️ Professional Mobility: Limited, occasionally to other Group sites

Key Skills & Profile

Profile:

  • Engineering degree, preferably in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 15 years of experience, including 10 in managing an industrial site.
  • Proficiency in heavy industrial processes.
  • Experience in managing teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience with Lean methods and industrial project management.
  • Multi-sector experience, with sectors such as metallurgy, cement, and foundry being a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • A hands-on leader who is in contact with teams.
  • Experience in labor relations, strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive, with strong project management and decision-making abilities.
