PLANT MANAGER (M/F)
Our customer, a major player in heavy industry, has several strategic sites across France. In this context, we have been mandated exclusively to recruit the future Plant Manager (M/F) for one of its sites, located in Brittany.
This position, available immediately , is to be filled rapidly as part of a planned renewal of the management team.
The site employs around 30 people, and offers great prospects for expansion. The job involves bringing an innovative vision to bear on the site's development in a fast-growing sector. As part of its strategic plan, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing organizational procedures and monitoring tools to support an ambitious strategy of growth and optimization of production processes.
Over and above operational and commercial issues, you will be a player in the continuous improvement of the quality of social dialogue.

Plant Manager (M/F)
Reports directly to the Industrial Director
Member of the Operational Management Committee
You will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Restructure and secure site operations
- Implement rigorous operating procedures and an optimized safety framework for future investments.
- Establish a preventive and corrective maintenance plan for all equipment, re-establish stock strategies and workshop layout.
- Implement targeted measures to improve the social climate, including enhanced dialogue with internal stakeholders. Open discussions and dialogue with key stakeholders.
2. Align site operations with Group guidelines
- Ensure the deployment and rigorous monitoring of the Group's strategic decisions in terms of safety, maintenance and lean manufacturing.
- Set up reporting and control systems (KPIs) to guarantee compliance with Group standards, but also be a source of proposals
- Identify and correct discrepancies between local practices and Group guidelines. Apply adjustments and be a driving force behind proposals.
3. Optimize operational performance
- Design and implement a dashboard with relevant KPIs to monitor site performance in terms of production, use of materials, margins of error.
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement based on Lean Manufacturing principles at all levels of the site.
4. Manage organizational transformation
- Adapt the site's organization and resources in line with market trends and performance objectives.
- Develop internal skills and coordinate the integration of new staff during expansion phases.
- Train and support teams in the adoption of new working methods (Lean, Kanban).
- Strengthen the site's social dialogue with key contacts at all levels.
- Be a driving force, initiating and developing projects to ensure a real transformation for the industrial site.
🏢 Permanent contract position (CDI): full-time, based in the Brittany region.

☑️ Your key skills & profile
Profile
- Engineering background, preferably in industrial or mechanical engineering
- At least 15 years' experience, including 10 in industrial site management
- Mastery of heavy industrial processes
- Team management in multi-trade environments
- Experience of Lean methods, industrial project management
- Multi-sector experience, e.g. metallurgy, cement, foundry, certain sectors are a plus (+).
