PLANT MANAGER (M/F)

Our client is a major player in heavy industry with several sites throughout France. For one of its sites, based near Bordeaux, we have an express and exclusive mandate to recruit its future Plant Manager (M/F).

This position, available immediately , is to be filled rapidly as part of a planned renewal of the management team.

The site employs around 30 people in two production workshops. The position is intended to support the company's expansion into new growth markets, as part of its strategic development plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing this growth strategy and optimizing the site's operational excellence.

As Manager of this unit, you will supervise production, maintenance, quality and logistics activities with your dedicated teams. You will also participate in the sales drive to develop new markets for the company.

Beyond operational and commercial issues, you will be a player in the continuous improvement of the quality of social dialogue.

Plant Manager (M/F)

Reports to the Industrial Director

Member of the Operational Management Committee

You will manage the "plant" profit center under your supervision.

You manage an operational team

You will be responsible for

#1 Implement the Group's strategic decisions on the site

- Implement action plans in liaison with general management and ensure their rigorous execution.

- Make proposals for future investments at the site.

#2 Supervise all operational activities at the site

- Management of operational activities with production quality control, monitoring and compliance with deadlines, while respecting the policy of operational excellence.

- Implementation and monitoring of Lean Manufacturing methods, with training of operational teams.

#3 Continuously adapt the site's organization to its market

- Evaluate and readjust human and material resources, while guaranteeing the flexibility of production lines.

#4 Strengthen the site's competitiveness

- Optimize production and explore new market opportunities.

- Ensure the quality of social dialogue with employee representatives, a key factor in the site's success and future development.

🏢 Permanent contract position:full-time, based in the Aquitaine region, on the outskirts of Bordeaux.

✈️ Professional mobility: limited, occasionally on other Group sites

🚩 Quick start: as soon as the profile is validated, during December 2024

⚽ Mode of exercise: face-to-face on site

☑️ Your key skills & profile

Profile

Engineering background, preferably in industrial or mechanical engineering

At least 15 years' experience, including 10 in industrial site management

Mastery of heavy industrial processes

Team management in a multi-skilled environment

Experience of Lean methods, industrial project management

Multi-sector experience is a plus (+): e.g. metallurgy, cement, foundry, construction, molding, etc.

People skills

A man or woman in the field, in contact with teams

Experience in labor relations, communication and negotiation skills

Problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to make proposals
