CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS

As part of our customer's current annual accounts closing, an interim management assignment was proposed for the position of Administrative & Accounting Manager (M/F). The successful candidate would be responsible, within our client's teams, for operational participation in the annual closing of accounts, in close collaboration with the Finance Department and with the support of the Shared Services Center (SSC).

THE MISSION

During his/her assignment as Accounting Manager, the candidate was reporting to the Accounting & Finance Director Europe. He/she maintained relations with the operational managers of the companies concerned, as well as with the Shared Services Center.

The candidate had two main missions:

#1 Participate operationally in the closing of the annual accounts by :

  • Reviewing and making closing entries.
  • Reconciling intra-group transactions and balances.
  • Preparing annual reporting packages for integration into Group consolidation.

#2 Manage relations with the auditors by :

  • Answering auditors' questions.
  • Justifying balance sheet balances.
  • Preparing notes to the accounts.
  • Institutional representation of the public authority
  • Organizing regular exchanges with elected representatives.
  • Fostering a positive dynamic within municipal teams.

THE PROFILE

Profile

  • Accounting degree essential, minimum DCG, ideally DSCG or DEC
  • Knowledge of SAP is essential
  • Knowledge of Hyperion is a plus
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in an accounting role
  • Experience in an accounting firm is a plus
  • Practical experience of accounting in a multi-company or Group environment
